Family Leave Bill Unfair

There was someone missing from the signing ceremony for the Family Leave Bill. President Clinton introduced a lady who had left her job for family reasons and was not rehired. The legislation would have required her employer to give her job back.

Missing was the person who would have lost their job when this lady returned to work.

Two lives are affected by this legislation. The law thinks but once when it should be thinking twice. Perhaps family problems should be left to families to solve and to grow from. Government, in this case, thought the problem only halfway through.

Congressman Howard P. (Buck) McKeon from the Santa Clarita Valley voted against this legislation. He used good judgment, and I thank him for it.
