LANCASTER : Bank Posts $20,000 Reward in Killing
Bank of America has posted a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who killed an ATM customer in Lancaster last week.
Hans Christian Herzog, 44, of Lancaster was shot Friday in the alley behind the bank branch at 730 W. Lancaster Blvd., where he had parked his car at about 6:15 a.m. An assailant shot Herzog and fled in Herzog’s car, a gray Honda Civic.
Herzog died about 16 hours later at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center. The reward was posted Monday.
Sheriff’s detectives released security camera photos of the suspected gunman Tuesday, but had no further leads on the assailant. “We’re hoping and waiting to get clues from the public,” Deputy Marty Shearer said.
