The Pan American Sports Organization, reacting to concern that nothing has been done to prepare for the 1995 Pan Am Games in Mar Del Plata, Argentina, has announced strict controls to assure that facilities will be ready in time.

Asked what would happen in the event the deadlines were not met, organization president Mario Vazquez Rana of Mexico replied: “In that case, cities like Bogota and Winnipeg are ready.”
