AND LEYNER

Your Feb. 7 issue included a report on a revolting new social phenomenon (“The Meaning of America”) and a textbook example of that in Leyner’s piece. Leyner was right at home in Easton’s brash new world, offering a jumbled assortment of witless barbs, random sneers and childish jokes with a theme that seemed to be a desire to piss off the squares.

Similar pairings for future issues spring to mind: an article on the specter of worldwide arms escalation followed by an interview with a self-satisfied weapons dealer, or perhaps a cannibalism expose with a sidebar on Jeffrey Dahmer’s favorite recipes.
