N.Y. Post Editor Quits: The struggling New York Post’s top editor quit in a newsroom uproar over plans for massive layoffs. Gerard Bray, the Post’s executive editor, said he preferred to quit rather than carry out orders to draw up a list of 270 editorial and administrative employees to be fired, according to Managing Editor Marc Kalech. That’s about 60% of the newsroom and administrative staff. Bray was the second top editor to leave the paper since Abraham Hirschfeld was given control of the Post by a bankruptcy court on Friday.
