Single Liver Split, Is Used in Two Transplantations

PHILADELPHIA — Doctors split a single donated liver for transplants in two girls during a 17-hour operation. One recipient, Tracy DeVore, 14, of East Stroudsburg in northeast Pennsylvania, was listed in good condition Tuesday. Rhea Jackson, 2, of East Orange, N.J., was in fair condition, said a spokeswoman at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
