Marc Girardelli and Anita Wachter were the winners at Are, Sweden, without having to race when the final men’s and women’s downhills of the World Cup season were canceled because of high winds.

After two morning delays, the organizers gave up attempts to hold the races in the afternoon, so Girardelli and Wachter, the overall World Cup leaders, each moved another step closer to clinching the season titles.
