VENTURA : Less Than an Inch of Rain Reported
Less than an inch of rain fell Saturday night and Sunday morning throughout most parts of Ventura County, before storm clouds gave way to sunshine.
County rain gauges recorded precipitation ranging from about an inch in Oxnard to about a quarter of an inch in eastern Simi Valley, while about half an inch of rain fell at the Ventura County Government Center in Ventura on Saturday and Sunday.
Skies over Ventura County are expected to be sunny and warmer today with temperatures in the 60s, rising to the low 70s with continued sun on Tuesday, said Steve Burback, a meteorologist for WeatherData Inc. There will be another chance of rain on Wednesday night or Thursday as another storm front approaches the county, he said.
