PENNSYLVANIA : Man With AIDS Dies Before Teen Sex Trial

Edward Savitz, the AIDS-infected Philadelphia insurance consultant accused of illicit sexual contacts with teen-age boys, died only days after being allowed to leave prison and just a week before his scheduled trial, his lawyer said. He was 51. A judge ordered Savitz’s release on humanitarian grounds March 19, and he died Saturday at an unidentified hospice, his lawyer said.
