Region : Hazardous Waste Roundup
Two county departments, in conjunction with Glendale, Burbank and other neighboring cities, are sponsoring a free Household Hazardous Waste Roundup Saturday in Burbank.
Household hazardous waste includes motor oil, cleaners with acids or lye, paint, turpentine, batteries, pesticides, and garden herbicides. There will be a general limit of five gallons or 50 pounds per vehicle. Participants should be prepared to leave their containers and should not mix products together.
The roundup, sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County, will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lockheed Corp., Hollywood Way and Valhalla Drive.
