SYLMAR : Community Invited to Crime Discussion
- Share via
Community members are invited to take part in a free-ranging discussion on crime in the eastern San Fernando Valley during a two-hour forum hosted by the city attorney’s Criminal Justice Panel.
The panel, made up of about two dozen community leaders from San Fernando to San Pedro, wants to learn more about the scope and nature of crime in various areas of the city, said Ted Goldstein, a spokesman for City Atty. James K. Hahn.
“The effort here is to afford us an opportunity to discuss these matters and develop a new strategy to deal with crime,” he said.
It will take place today at 10 a.m. at the Sylmar Recreation Center gymnasium, 13109 Borden Ave.
