SHERMAN OAKS : Supervisors Add to Reward in Slaying
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday added $5,000 to a reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who fatally stabbed a pregnant woman in a Sherman Oaks carjacking.
Sherri Foreman, 29, was stabbed last week after withdrawing money from Great Western Bank’s automatic teller. Foreman, who was 13 weeks pregnant, died about 24 hours later.
The added funds raise the reward total to $35,000. South Bay Hospital, where the woman’s father works, has offered a $5,000 reward. Great Western and the Los Angeles City Council have each offered rewards of $12,500.
Anyone with information about the slaying is asked to call Los Angeles police at (818) 989-8377 or the California Bankers Assn. at (800) 78-CRIME.
