LETTERS IN VIEW : Those in the Middle Don’t Like Extremes

Re “A Shadow of Doubt” (March 17): I am deeply offended by Elizabeth Volz’s comment regarding “the people in the middle who don’t care” about the abortion issue.

We people who fail to march are not people who “don’t care.” We do care--we just don’t care for the extremist views of either side, or the lengths to which they are willing to go to promote their own causes.

I do not believe that every woman has a right in any circumstance at any time to take the life of her unborn child. Nor do I believe women in the throes of heart-rending decisions should be subjected to threats, harassment or coercion.
