Free-Trade Pact
The prospects for a strengthened U.S. economy are excellent, so long as momentum toward freer and fairer trade between industrialized and developing countries is maintained. The NAFTA accord will allow North American companies, such as 3M with its 12 California facilities and nearly 4,000 California employees, to become more competitive. Unfortunately, this vital trade agreement is being threatened by certain groups and critics who, perhaps unintentionally, might nit-pick it to death.
