An attorney for the daughter of a Ventura man killed in a mudslide during the flood of February, 1992, has filed a claim against Ventura County seeking $450,000 in damages.
According to the claim, the county failed to properly inspect the construction of the house where Glenn Queen, his fiancee and their unborn child were killed when a wall of mud crashed into their bedroom on Feb. 12, 1992.
The claim, filed on behalf of the man’s 4-year-old daughter, Whitney, also alleges that the county did not properly check the soil and the drainage above the house in the 4200 block of Encino Lane.
