Still Gelatinous: Rock band Green Jello has officially changed its name to Green Jelly in order to avoid legal entanglements with General Foods, which owns the trademark of the famous gelatin dessert Jell-O. The Los Angeles band is also removing the song “Cereal Killer” from its album and video of the same name. The video features parodies of cereal box figures including Toucan Sam and the Lucky Charms leprechaun, also copyrighted characters. “Cereal Killer” was originally released last year only as a video album, but a “soundtrack” CD was issued last month and has reached No. 58 on the Billboard pop chart, while the heavy-metal spoof “Three Little Pigs” is at No. 43 on the singles chart.
