ORANGE : University Names New Fund-Raiser
The president of the Southern California Planned Giving Roundtable has been named director of estate and trust planning for Chapman University.
Vincent J. Fraumeni, formerly a vice president at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, has more than 10 years of experience in raising money for nonprofit institutions through the use of deferred gift giving, said Ruth Wardwell, a Chapman spokeswoman.
Fraumeni will work with potential donors to Chapman University who are interested in making financial gifts in their wills.
“A deferred gift for a charitable institution will generally provide income to a donor throughout their lifetime,” Fraumeni said. “It allows the donor to give away a sizable asset yet maintain an income stream throughout their lifetime.”
The money raised will further Chapman University’s endowment as well as provide student scholarships, Fraumeni said.
