Legal Games Fatal to Faith in Justice

What a ridiculous statement made by attorney Gloria Allred in “The Picture of Innocence?” (April 4): “Why should anyone wake up thinking, ‘If only I had dressed a different way, I might not be serving a life term in prison.’ ”

What happened to If only I hadn’t committed murder . . . ?

Why has the average, law-abiding citizen lost faith in the judicial system of the late, great United States? It’s because of attorneys who no longer understand or respect the Constitution and feel it’s their duty not to make sure their client receives a fair trial but that their client serves no time at all no matter what the crime.
