Grace Expects to Pay Nearly $1 Billion in Asbestos Lawsuits: The specialty chemicals giant expects to pay up to $985.3 million to plaintiffs and lawyers in hundreds of asbestos lawsuits that have been filed since 1970, the company said in its annual report. W.R. Grace also said it has filed suits against dozens of insurance companies that it claims are responsible for covering these legal costs.
