Gratitude for a Clean Campaign
This letter is to thank the voters, my supporters, volunteers and family members for their tremendous and outstanding effort in assisting my quest for Glendale City Council. It was a job well done, one where we stuck to the issues and conducted an aboveboard campaign throughout the entire process. We had fun, we met, talked, mailed to and visited thousands of people. Many new friendships and acquaintances were made, so all is not lost.
Politics, as a general rule, and as I have come to learn, have a tendency to create disharmony where none had previously existed and divide people where unity and friendship was common. Now that the election process is over, let us unite as one kaleidoscope of colorful people in this great city, called Glendale, the Jewel City.
Congratulations and best wishes to Rick Reyes, Sheldon Baker and Mary Ann Plumley. To all the other candidates who ran, I encourage you to continue to be involved with your city, to provide input, ideas and volunteer, as I will.
Bob Torres
Glendale City Council candidate
