South Gate : D.A., Police Sponsor Forum on Crime, Drugs
Southeast-area residents may discuss their concerns about crime Monday with representatives from the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office and the South Gate Police Department.
The issues to be discussed at the district attorney’s family forum include drug use, date rape, child abuse, domestic violence, gangs, child support and weapons on school campuses.
The forum will feature Dist. Atty. Gil Garcetti, Police Chief Ronald P. George and other officials. Residents from South Gate, Huntington Park, Cudahy, Bell and neighboring communities are expected at the event at South Gate Middle School, 4100 Firestone Blvd. Information: (213) 974-3528.
