Protecting Children

Share

The article was heartbreaking and horrifying. When are we as a society going to make children a priority? It is outrageous that the most vulnerable members of our society have no protection.

We are not going to see change, and protection for the children, until social workers and agencies are held accountable for their actions or inaction. Understanding that caseloads are heavy and funds are short is not a valid excuse when children’s lives are at stake.

The “family preservation” program is perhaps the most frightening solution I have heard lately. Reunification is part of the problem, not the solution.
