Hospice Helpers
This is National Volunteer Week, and I want to publicly thank the volunteers of the Visiting Nurse Assn. of Orange County/Hospice.
Most people know that hospice provides a very special kind of care for terminally ill persons and their families. But it’s less known what an important role the volunteers play.
While our hospice employs paid professionals, we also rely on volunteers to provide assistance at all levels of skills. Most of our volunteers work directly assisting patients and caregivers, but others help out in our office.
We are all truly grateful to the volunteers for the wealth of time and compassion they give for the betterment of our community.
