Guangzhou Begins Work on High-Tech Development Zone: Guangzhou, capital of China’s booming Guangdong Province, opened bids for renting space in a new high-tech development zone, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. Plans include a high-rise building for scientific research and space for 300 businesses to trade in high-tech products.
