Suzuki Joint Venture: Suzuki Motor Co. became the first Japanese auto maker to enter a joint venture agreement for passenger car production in China. Suzuki, Japan’s leading producer of small vehicles and the world’s third-ranked motorcycle maker, will produce its Alto passenger car there beginning in the spring of 1995.
