SIMI VALLEY : Member Sought for Arts Advisory Panel
- Share via
The city of Simi Valley is accepting applications from residents interested in serving as the city’s appointee to the advisory panel of the Ventura County Arts Commission.
Applications will be accepted through May 7, said Judy Collins, Simi Valley’s deputy director of community services. The final appointment of the non-paid position will be made by the City Council.
The advisory panel meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the County Government Center. With the drive to Ventura, the meeting and the return trip, applicants should count on a time commitment of at least four hours each month.
Collins said the city is looking for a resident with a history of community involvement and an interest in the arts, but not necessarily formal art training.
The city’s former appointee, Eileen Cohen, resigned earlier this month to pursue other interests, Collins said.
