2 Supervisors Commended

Supervisors John K. Flynn and Maria VanderKolk are to be complimented for their bold action in recommending a small salary cut and the elimination of several perks and benefits for top county management and elected officials. They may have stepped on some toes by going around the budget committee, but our county is facing a potential budget crisis and action is required.

While probably not perfect, the Flynn/VanderKolk plan is a good first step and I hope the other three supervisors follow their lead and work with them to get this cost-savings plan implemented as soon as possible.
