Who Gets Pink Slip?
It was correctly stated in the newspapers that the county Labor Management Committee, chaired by County Personnel Director Ron Komers--whose own pay and perks for 1991 exceeded $127,000--wants to lay off employees rather than reduce their own pay and perks.
The laid-off employees’ pay would be reduced 100%. Would Mr. Komers and other management types be so eager to support the layoffs if it were they who were given the pink slip?
