6th-Grader Places Second in Elks Essay Contest

Eric Bonholtzer, a sixth-grade student at Highland Oaks School in Arcadia, was recently named the second-place winner in the California-Hawaii Elks Assn.-sponsored Americanism Essay Contest.
Eric’s essay was on “Why We Should Honor Our Flag.”
Eric will receive a trip to San Diego. He will also be presented with a plaque and savings bond.
