Jewish Contributions Toward Building L.A. to Be Recognized

Contributions of Jewish families toward building Los Angeles during the past 50 years will be recognized Thursday at a dinner sponsored by the United Jewish Fund’s Real Estate and Construction division at the Century Plaza hotel in Century City.

“Generation to Generation--Leadership in the Real Estate Industry: Past, Present and Future” is the theme of the dinner, which will feature the family histories of Paul Amir, Ernie Auerbach, Stanley Black, Isadore Familian, Dick Gunther, Joe Herman Jr., Leonard Shapiro and Larry Weinberg.

All of the honorees are past chairmen of the UJF’s Real Estate and Construction Division, which consists of Jewish real estate and construction professionals who support the work of the United Jewish Fund locally, nationally and in Israel.
