“Fighting Words” was a thrilling story of the triumph of free speech. The story also presents one of those occasional cases where the ACLU justifies its existence. Now, if only it would defend the right to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the Second Amendment, our protection against the tyrannical impulse so clearly revealed by the University of Wisconsin would be assured.
