Distributing Alternatives: Seven record companies have banded together to form the Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), a new distribution company for alternative rock music. Partners in the venture are Atlantic Recording Group, Elektra Entertainment, Interscope Records, Mute Records, Restless Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Group. The distribution company was created particularly to nurture and develop alternative artists’ careers and will distribute releases from Atlantic, Dali, Def American, EastWest, Elektra, 4AD, Interscope, Matador, Medicine, Mute, Restless, Seed, Slash, Twin Tone and Warner Bros.
