Aside from trying to get some of his ex-wife’s $100 million, what is convicted inside-trader Ivan Boesky up to these days? Answer: Spending $5,230 a month on food, clothing and other essentials.

Boesky testified in his divorce case in state Supreme Court in Manhattan this week that the spending breaks down to $1,000 a month for clothing, $3,500 for food, $430 for dry-cleaning and $300 for haircuts.

Nevertheless, Boesky maintained that he is entitled to as much as half of ex-spouse Seema Boesky’s $100 million because he says he made her rich “beyond her wildest imaginings”--and she should share the wealth.

Seema Boesky’s attorneys say her money is all hers by inheritance and the sale of her family’s Beverly Hills Hotel. Since getting out of prison, Boesky has been traveling to such countries as Germany, Italy, Canada, Israel, France and Russia to discuss prospective business ventures with clients. But he said none of his possible deals has come to fruition because he doesn’t have the necessary capital.

Asked by Seema Boesky’s attorney if he has considered a career change, Boesky said quietly: “It’s pretty late to start to do anything brand new at my age.”
