Calling the War on Drugs a Failure
* The Rev. Robert Schuller should be applauded for signing the resolution calling on this nation’s leaders to seriously rethink current drug policies.
The present emphasis on law enforcement and interdiction is a failure. Legalization (meaning controlling the distribution of substances, along with taxation) and public education about drug abuse would be much more effective.
