1 Bullet From Father’s Gun Kills Two Youths

CAMDEN, Tenn. —
A young brother and sister were killed by a single bullet that their father said was accidentally fired from his deer rifle.
Allen Sarratt said he was walking down steps outside his home late Saturday carrying the rifle over his shoulder when it discharged, police said.
Brent Sarratt, 12, and Kelly Sarratt, 15, were walking down the steps behind their father. The bullet passed through the boy’s chest and struck his sister in the chest.
Officials said the shooting apeared to be accidental and no charges were filed.
