Chief Administrative Officer John M. Bramble will leave his post at the end of this month to become head administrator for Adams County, Colo.

Bramble, who will earn $10,000 less in his new job, said he is making the move because he wants to work in county government.

Adams County has a $117-million budget, 800 staffers and 265,000 residents, compared to Bell’s $12-million budget, 92 staff members and a population of 34,000. Adams County is northeast of Denver.

“I’ve always been curious about county government and the management system they use,” Bramble, 46, said.

Bramble earns $85,200 but will make $75,000 in his new job.
