The district attorney’s office has filed grand theft charges against a former employee of an executive recruiting company after Sierra Madre police searched his home and business and recovered equipment belonging to the company, police said.
Eden Slegr, a former consultant of Renard International, which helps hotels find executives, was charged May 10 and released on his own recognizance, Sierra Madre Detective John Cordischi said.
Sierra Madre police searched Slegr’s new executive recruiting business and home May 6 and found furniture and equipment that Renard officials identified as their property, Cordischi said. Deputy Dist. Atty. Michael Pargament said Slegr will be arraigned in June after further investigation.
Slegr said a warrant for his arrest has been withdrawn and he had no further comment.
