Elvis Inquiry: Enough of this business about Elvis still being alive. Officials in Memphis--where the king of rock ‘n’ roll died in 1977--just want to settle how he died. The Shelby County Commission filed a lawsuit Friday in Nashville seeking a new probe into Presley’s sudden death at the age of 42. The lawsuit follows a 1991 commission resolution also asking for an investigation, which cited the book “The Death of Elvis: What Really Happened.” Doctors in that book said Presley died of a drug overdose. Tennessee Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Charles Harlan said Presley’s death was caused by heart disease.
