Flamemaster Increases Its Stake in PerfectData

Flamemaster Corp., a Sun Valley specialty chemicals manufacturer, said it increased its stake in PerfectData Corp. to 371,000 shares, or about 10.9% of the total outstanding.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said it bought the shares in PerfectData--a Simi Valley-based maker of computer, office care and maintenance products--at prices ranging from $1.50 to $1.65 a share. It said the share purchase was for investment purposes.

For the second quarter that ended March 31, Flamemaster earned $124,000 on revenue of $891,000. It manufactures such products as sealants, adhesives and coatings.
