Corrections Deputy Director Gets Top Job
Frank C. Woodson, deputy director of the Ventura County Corrections Services Agency for 18 years, was named director Tuesday.
The Board of Supervisors voted 4 to 0 to elevate Woodson to the position, vacated after F. William Forden took early retirement 14 months ago.
Woodson, who had been the department’s acting director, will earn a base salary of $89,724. His duties include supervising the county’s two youth corrections facilities and overseeing the county’s work furlough program.
Supervisor Maria VanderKolk said the county had selected three candidates for the job, but Woodson “stood on top.”
