World IN BRIEF : IRAN : Planes Bomb Camps of Rebels in Iraq

Iranian warplanes bombed targets in neighboring Iraq for the first time in more than a year, attacking camps used by Iranian exiles in their campaign to bring down Tehran’s Islamic government. Iran said it held Iraq responsible for the attacks because it ignored warnings to halt cross-border raids by the People’s Moujahedeen, the major Iranian dissident group, based in Iraq. The rebels reported that one of their fighters was killed, apparently by rebel fire. No other casualties were immediately reported.
