‘Schindler’ II

Don Wardell suggests we let go of the past and “look forward to the future.” Well, I’ve got a better idea. Why don’t we not only forget World War II and the Holocaust, but everything in the past altogether?

Just think, millions of students will never have to sit in a boring history class ever again. History books will never need to be written. We can get rid of all the memorials and statues throughout the world and build shopping malls. I can’t wait! Life will be so much simpler.

You’re right, Mr. Wardell. We don’t really need to know anything about our world or what has happened to get us where we are today.
