School Voucher Initiative

Share

There is nothing wrong with public education! It just needs more emphasis on accountability and quality and less emphasis on bureaucratic and political squabbling. The voucher system will create an atmosphere of healthy competition and attention to basics in both public and private schools. What’s wrong with that?

Our children should all have a right to their share of education funds. After all, we all pay our share of taxes. If voucher money is given to children who may attend a religious school, so what? Have their parents not paid taxes for their children’s education? Do parents not have the right to choose the type of education they want for their children? Who owns our children? The government? I know from personal experience that an excellent education can be had for $2,500 or less.
