Share

Three Southeast-area school districts have received grants to provide health and social services to poor children and their families.

Montebello Unified, Bellflower Unified and ABC Unified school districts have been awarded Healthy Start grants.

The state gives grants of up to $400,000 to school districts that are already working with county and private agencies to provide health services. Smaller grants are awarded to help school districts develop such plans.
