French Firm Says It Will Cover Chernobyl Reactor

PARIS —
A French engineering firm said Friday it will design and build a new “tomb” to encase Ukraine’s Chernobyl nuclear reactor, which exploded in 1986.
A spokesman said the firm, Campenon Bernard SGE, estimated it would cost $250 million to build an enclosure to stop radioactivity from leaking out of the stricken plant.
