The Myanmar army’s brutality against ethnic groups in eastern borderlands has driven hundreds of thousands from their homes and sent thousands fleeing to Thailand, foreign aid officials in Thailand said. The government of Myanmar has waged a decades-long war against minority guerrilla armies seeking greater autonomy.
