SAN FERNANDO : City Council Adopts $18.3-Million Budget

Share

An $18.3-million spending plan that calls for little change in city services was adopted by the City Council yesterday.

The fiscal 1993-94 budget includes modest funding increases for a handful of city programs, including an allocation of $6,000 to expand a senior nutrition program to Las Palmas Park.

“It’s a rollover budget from this year to next year,” said Mike Moon, the city’s director of finance. Total spending is identical to the amount in the current budget, also $18.3 million.

The budget also calls for funding of a City Council awards program and continuation of the city’s graffiti reward program and the working parents program, which provides tutoring to schoolchildren after school at Las Palmas Park.
