What’s Oxnard Thinking of?
* I don’t understand the city of Oxnard. Officials gave away fees and taxes to get the Price Club, the Auto Center and the Radisson Hotel. This year, they agreed to kick back nearly $2.5 million for Wal-Mart and another million for the Outlet Mall.
It’s crazy to me that when someone offers to build a business (the card club) which would provide 500 good-paying jobs and pay the city one or two million per year in taxes, the city gets all high moral and concerned. Are the inmates in charge or did I miss something?
