Six schools in the Westminster School District will get new principals for the 1993-94 school year, a district spokeswoman said on Tuesday.

Supt. Gail Wickstrom made the changes in response to the departure of two principals who accepted jobs in other states, spokeswoman Audrey Brown said.

As of September, Cherrille Collier, now the director of curriculum and staff development, will head Virginia K. Boos Elementary School.

Dale Bischof, principal of Dr. Russell I. Johnson Middle School, will take over at Cecil B. DeMille Elementary School. Genia Pickett, principal of Helen Stacey Intermediate School, will be principal at Fay Fryberger Elementary School, Brown said.

Fryberger’s current principal, Duane Collier, will head the newly renovated Hayden Elementary School and Sheri Jones, now DeMille’s principal, will move to Stacey. Rich Guinn, acting principal at L.P. Webber Elementary School, will become principal there.

The changes were prompted by the departure of Boos Principal Karen Curtis, who has accepted a job in Arizona, and Dave Dorn, Hayden’s designated principal, who is moving to Montana this summer, Brown said.
