TriCare Hires Executive: TriCare Inc., which manages clinics that treat workers who are hurt on the job, has finally filled out its executive suite in a shake-up that ended with it moving its headquarters to Atlanta.
Well, it isn’t exactly in Atlanta. It really remains in Irvine.
The only TriCare personnel in Atlanta are chief executive Larry G. Gerdes and the company’s newest employee, chief financial officer Richard L. Klein. All other corporate personnel and activities remain in Irvine.
Klein comes to TriCare from Durr-Fillauer Medical Inc., a Montgomery-based drug distributor.
“Klein has extensive experience in acquisitions, financial management, systems development and growing companies,” said a company press release.
He should. Durr-Fillauer was swallowed up by Orange-based Bergen Brunswig Corp. last year, which won Durr-Fillauer in an aggressive bidding war with an Ohio drug firm.
